Your team’s conversation stays yours.

PointRoom uses an anonymous session to recognise you. You never need to provide an email address or create an account.

What a room stores

Your display name, selected character, room details, stories, votes and accepted estimates are saved for the session. Other room members can see your name and voting progress. The server only releases your vote to other members after the host reveals the round.

Emotes and paper tosses are briefly shared with other room members and disappear from the interface after a few seconds. They are not added to story history. The server keeps a recent-send timestamp to limit reaction frequency.

Temporary by design

Rooms expire after 24 hours and become inaccessible. Expired data is removed by the next local cleanup or the configured Supabase cleanup job. Please avoid adding sensitive personal information to stories or names.

On your device

Anonymous authentication records can remain in the hosting platform beyond a room's expiry. Room expiry removes access to the temporary session; it is not a promise that the underlying anonymous user record is deleted at the same moment.

Your last display name, character choice, quiet-table preference and effects, voice and volume preferences are saved in your browser. Voice clips are synthetic and served with the app; no microphone or live speech service is used. An essential session cookie (local mode) or anonymous authentication token (Supabase mode) keeps your identity stable. No advertising cookies or third-party analytics are included.

Infrastructure

The local edition stores data on the application server. When configured with Supabase, data and anonymous authentication are managed in the operator’s Supabase project. Your deployment operator controls hosting and retention configuration.
